Terms of Service

Effective: April 15, 2026

Welcome to 84 Edges ("the App", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using 84 Edges you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use 84 Edges. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Prize redemption (Section 7) is available only to users who are 18 years of age or older.

2. Account & Sign-In

84 Edges uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. Each Apple ID corresponds to a single 84 Edges account. You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these rules, including removing leaderboard entries and forfeiting any pending prize eligibility.

4. Gamer Tags

You may choose a display name ("gamer tag") that is visible on leaderboards. Gamer tags must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language. We reserve the right to reset any gamer tag that violates this policy without notice.

5. Leaderboards

Leaderboard rankings are determined by server-validated puzzle scores. All moves are replayed and verified server-side to ensure integrity. We may remove or adjust scores that are determined to be the result of cheating, exploitation, or technical error.

6. In-App Purchases

84 Edges may offer optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Refund requests for in-app purchases must be directed to Apple.

7. Prizes & Rewards

84 Edges may, at its sole discretion, offer prize pools or monetary rewards to users who achieve specific in-game milestones (e.g., matching all 84 edges). The following rules apply:

  1. One redemption per user, ever. Each user account is eligible to redeem prize money a maximum of one (1) time across the lifetime of their account. Once a prize has been redeemed, the account is permanently ineligible for further prize redemptions, regardless of future achievements.
  2. Eligibility. To redeem a prize you must be at least 18 years old and reside in a jurisdiction where receiving such a prize is lawful. You may be required to provide identity verification before a prize is disbursed.
  3. Prize amounts. Prize values are displayed in the App and may change from day to day. The prize amount is locked at the time of redemption, not at the time the milestone is achieved.
  4. Verification. All prize-eligible achievements are subject to server-side validation. We reserve the right to deny any prize claim that cannot be verified or that we reasonably believe resulted from cheating or exploitation.
  5. Taxes. You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or reporting obligations arising from receiving a prize.
  6. No guarantee. Prize availability is not guaranteed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the prize program at any time without prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in 84 Edges — including but not limited to puzzles, artwork, animations, sounds, and software — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

84 Edges is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of anticipated prize winnings, or service interruptions.

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the App's Settings screen. Account deletion is permanent and will forfeit any unredeemed prize eligibility. We will process deletion requests in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision took effect. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
